These resources have been collated from my writing and preparation for services at West Hill United Church over several cycles of Revised Common Lectionary’s Liturgical Year A. They, and subsequent seasons’ resources for Year A, will be available here for use as I determine their value to leaders in the church. If it seems that they are little used, I will refrain from putting all the rest of the years’ works together and leave the project. So do let me know if you use them and find them helpful or if you’d prefer other ways to engage your congregation that you think I might be able to provide. And, of course, if you think others might like them or find them of use, please let them know of the project. Links to each Sunday’s resources are at the bottom of this page.

“If you need help, bark like a dog.”
“That’s stupid. If I need help, I’ll shout help.”
George R.R. Martin, A Clash of Kings

don’t bother barking….
I may not be totally on top of this project from time to time. If you need some help finding something or don’t get the connections, don’t bark. Anya from A Clash of Kings, quoted above, has the better idea. Just call for help. Chances are I might not know what I meant, either, but together we’re sure to come up with something interesting!

stringing words together….
Ministry is one part spoken word, another one of art, two parts wisdom, and a pinch of enchantment, all tied together with the kind of respect that comes when you love the people before you. Don’t quote me on that. Just reach for that same goal, and I think we’ll do well together.
